Fisch Beginner Guide: From First Cast to Your First Million
Fisch looks simple — cast, wait, reel — but underneath sits one of Roblox’s deepest value economies: 400,000+ fish variations from mutations and attributes stacking on base species. Here’s how to go from first cast to trading-ready without wasting your early C$.
The core loop
- Hold to cast, wait for a bite — you can “shake” your rod to attract fish faster.
- On a bite, follow the blue line with the white bar. Missing a few beats is fine; filling the bottom progress bar lands the catch.
- Sell at the merchant, upgrade your rod, push to a new area. Repeat.
Every fish has a base sell price modified by weight, mutation and attributes. Two identical species can differ in value by 10× or more — that’s the entire game economy in one sentence.
Early money: rod upgrades beat everything
Your first upgrades matter more than anything you’ll do later. The stat that pays is luck — it drives rare species and mutation odds, and mutations are where value multiplies (up to 12× for Aether — see the full multiplier table).
Don’t overthink early choices: any purchasable rod in your stage bracket with a solid luck stat carries you. The rod tier list shows all 248 rods with lure/luck/control plus how to get each one — filter by your current stage and pick the best luck you can afford.
Mutations, attributes and appraisal
- A fish carries one mutation (multiplier from 0× to 12×).
- Attributes stack on top: Shiny, Sparkling, Big, Giant and friends can combine on a single fish.
- Appraisal rerolls the mutation for a fee — but attributes like Shiny and Sparkling are never lost during appraisal. The endgame move is stacking safe attributes, then rerolling toward a top multiplier.
Skip appraisal on cheap fish; the fee only makes sense on high base-value species where the multiplier swing is worth real money.
Codes: don’t miss the flash drops
Fisch runs a flash-code pattern: most codes drop with weekly updates and die within 24-48 hours. A handful of long-term codes stay live for months. Check the codes page right after each weekly update lands — that timing is the whole trick.
When you’re ready to trade
Trading is where mid-game money lives, but Fisch has three competing value systems and they disagree by 30%+ on the same item. Before your first serious trade, read the trading guide and keep the value list open — it cross-checks all three systems weekly and flags the items where they disagree.
